Killington Music Festival

KMF-callout

The Killington Music Festival brings together young musicians and a world renowned faculty in a residency program of chamber music study, masterclasses and frequent performances. With the beauty of the Green Mountains as a backdrop, the limited enrollment, personal attention and collegial atmosphere, KMF 2015 could be the musical experience of your lifetime.  For more information, please visit our [ website ]

JUNE 27 – August 1, 2015
Saturdays at Ramshead Lodge*, Killington Resort, 7pm
*Unless otherwise noted

July 4 – Killington Music Festival Chamber Orchestra
We pay tribute to Joseph Haydn with his beloved Symphony No. 49 “La Passione” and his cello Concerto in C Major, featuring guest soloist Emilio Colon and guest conductor, Daniel Andai, both KMF faculty members.

July 11 – The World Traveler
Take a journey through time with the Baroque Era’s champion, Bach; continue through the Romantic Era with Dvorák’s Terzetto; onward to the impressionistic Debussy Sonata for violin and piano; and come to a thunderous close with Brahms’ timeless Piano Quartet in G minor.

July 18 – A Little Night Music
A KMF Grand performance, with a KMF Grand Sextet, performed on a KMF Grand Piano, featuring KMF’s Grand Faculty! This program showcases a Grieg Sonata for violin and piano, Mozart’s refreshing Piano Quartet in E-Flat Major, and Glinka’s Grand Sextet.

July 25 – Souvenirs
KMF offers musical souvenirs in this performance that you are sure to remember long after the last note has been played. KMF presents the oboe in Mozart’s oboe quintet, three cellos in Popper’s gorgeous Requiem and to bring the night to its close, the thrilling Souvenir de Florence by Tchaikovsky

August 1 – On Killington’s Peak*
KMF’s 33rd season culminates on Killington’s Peak when KMF co-founder joins KMF faculty members to perform rare gems of duos and trios by Bach, Mozart, Sibelius, Strauss, and more…
